Yes. Khula is the wife's right to seek dissolution of marriage through the Family Court, and it does not require the husband's consent. Under the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act 1939, the Family Court can grant khula even if the husband opposes it. However, an uncontested khula (where the husband agrees) is typically resolved faster (3-4 months) compared to a contested case (6-12 months).
