Can overseas Pakistanis buy property in Pakistan?

Yes. Overseas Pakistanis with valid NICOP can buy, sell, and own property in Pakistan. The process involves: title verification (due diligence), sale agreement, stamp duty payment, registration at the Sub-Registrar office, and mutation in the revenue records. All of this can be done through a Power of Attorney without visiting Pakistan. An NTN (National Tax Number) from FBR is recommended as it significantly reduces withholding tax on property transactions.
