Documents Required
- Expired or expiring NICOP
- Valid Pakistani passport (photocopy)
- Canadian proof of address — provincial health card (OHIP, MSP), utility bill, bank statement, CRA document, or driver's licence (last 3 months)
- Two passport photographs (white background)
- Processing fee: CAD $20 (normal) / CAD $40 (urgent)
Step-by-Step Process
- Gather documents — if you need an affidavit for any discrepancy, we prepare it
- Book appointment — particularly important for the busy Toronto consulate
- Visit and submit — provide documents, biometrics, and fee payment
- Wait for processing — 6–10 weeks normal, 3–4 weeks urgent
- Receive NICOP — delivered to your Canadian address via Canada Post
NADRA CROR Online Portal
If you have previously submitted biometrics at any Pakistan Embassy or Consulate, you may qualify for NADRA's online CROR (Card Renewal for Overseas Residents) portal. This allows you to:
- Submit your renewal application online
- Upload digital copies of documents
- Pay the fee electronically
- Receive the NICOP by mail without visiting any office

Tips for Canadian Pakistanis

- Calgary and Edmonton: No local consulate — consider postal application or CROR online
- Students: International students with Pakistani passports are eligible for NICOP
- Dual nationals: Canadian-Pakistani dual nationals are fully eligible
